Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Leak Reveals Disappointing Camera Specs

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Leak 8MP Telephoto Returns, No Major Rear Camera Boost.

Just days after reports suggested the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE would feature an upgraded front camera and a 50MP main rear sensor (likely the same as the S24 FE), new leaks have revealed more about the upcoming smartphone’s camera setup — and fans may be underwhelmed.

According to the latest information, the Galaxy S25 FE will once again feature an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom — the same sensor found in the Galaxy S24 FE. For a smartphone expected to launch in 2025 and sit in the upper mid-range category, this feels outdated. Many users hoped for a significant boost in optical zoom performance, but Samsung seems to be playing it safe.

However, there is one silver lining: the S25 FE will include a dedicated telephoto lens, unlike the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is expected to skip one altogether.

The ultrawide camera also remains unchanged — a 12MP sensor, mirroring last year’s setup. That means, at least based on current leaks, the only notable camera upgrade in the S25 FE could be on the front-facing side.

On the performance front, the device is said to switch from the Exynos 2400e (used in the S24 FE) to the full Exynos 2400 chipset, which offers slight performance gains but isn’t a game-changer.

With camera hardware mostly unchanged and only a modest processor bump, the Galaxy S25 FE appears to be a minor iteration rather than a bold step forward. Still, there may be surprises in store as we await the official announcement.
