iPhone Fold Leak: 7.7″ Display, Launch in 2026

iPhone Fold Leak Reveals 7.7″ Inner Display and 5.5″ Cover Screen — Launch Expected in 2026

Apple is reportedly preparing to enter the foldable smartphone market, with its first foldable device expected to debut in 2026, according to new leaks. While the official name is still unconfirmed, many are referring to the upcoming device as the iPhone Fold.

In the latest leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, posted on Weibo, key screen size details of the iPhone Fold have emerged. The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.7-inch inner folding display and a 5.5-inch cover display — both notably more compact than most Android foldables, suggesting Apple is prioritizing pocketability and one-handed use.

This unique form factor indicates Apple is likely going for a different aspect ratio, deviating from the tall and narrow designs seen in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series.

Crease-Free Display and Prototype Testing Underway

The leak also confirms previous rumors that Apple has already developed a working prototype, which is currently undergoing internal testing. One of Apple’s primary goals appears to be a virtually crease-free foldable display, which has reportedly been the main reason for its delayed entry into the foldable market.

To achieve this, Apple is said to be working closely with Samsung Display, which has now supplied a panel that meets Apple’s high standards.

While it remains unclear whether the device will include an under-display selfie camera on the main folding screen, earlier reports suggest Apple is experimenting with the feature.

What to Expect from the iPhone Fold

  • Expected Launch: 2026
  • Inner Display: 7.7 inches (folding)
  • Cover Display: 5.5 inches
  • Design Focus: Compact, crease-free, one-hand usability
  • Possible Features: Under-display camera, advanced hinge design

With these new details surfacing, Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone is starting to take shape. While it might not be the largest foldable on the market, Apple is clearly aiming to redefine the usability and design standards for this category.

Stay tuned as more information leaks in the lead-up to Apple’s first foldable launch.
