Samsung Rolls Out Android 15 & One UI 7 Update for Galaxy A35 and Tab S9 FE Ahead of Schedule in Europe
Samsung has officially begun rolling out the Android 15 and One UI 7 update for select devices in the Galaxy A series and Tab S9 FE lineup, ahead of its originally scheduled timeline. According to Samsung’s European rollout roadmap, the update was expected to land in June, but it’s already available for some users, starting with the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
Early Rollout Begins with Galaxy A35
The Galaxy A35 is the first A-series device to receive the latest update, with firmware version A356BXXU4BYDC now available in Europe. The update package weighs in at approximately 3.5 GB, indicating a significant upgrade that brings major software enhancements.
Galaxy Tab S9 FE Joins the Update Wave
Samsung has also started rolling out Android 15 to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, with firmware version XXU7CYE1 now live. This marks an important milestone for the Tab S9 FE, bringing it in line with Samsung’s premium Galaxy S and Z series, which have already completed their updates.
What’s New in Android 15 Base One UI 7
This update includes:
- Android 15 OS enhancements
- One UI 7 interface overhaul
- April 2025 security patch
While the security patch is a routine addition, the Android 15 and One UI 7 layers introduce a number of user-facing changes:
- A redesigned Now Bar for improved navigation
- Vertical scrolling for the Apps screen
- A revamped Camera UI for better usability
- Support for creating larger folders on the Home screen
- Additional performance improvements and design refinements
Security and Software Commitment
Interestingly, the Galaxy A35 has now received its third consecutive monthly security update, a notable step for a device typically on a quarterly update schedule. This could signal Samsung’s growing commitment to maintaining consistent software support across its mid-range devices.
Availability
As of now, the update is rolling out in stages across European markets, and availability may expand to more regions in the coming days. Users can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
